Inspirational (and possibly slightly bonkers) volunteers to support young people experience new opportunities

What is the role: Kennington Youth Club are looking for individuals who love working with young people. They Club are really adaptable so you can run games, control the cafe, or simply spread smiles – you’re likely to fit right in.

Why you should join:

  • You’ll be supported by a dedicated committee who consider everyone’s ideas for improving the club
  • You will ensure that young people continue to experience a fun and varied programme, growing in confidence whilst they socialise with others
  • You’ll be joining a family…we know it sounds a cliche but we care passionately about providing the best and if you want that warm fuzzy feeling and something extra on your CV, this really is for you
  • Currently we can offer you a colourful badge, free parking and as much tea, coffee and pop as you can manage

Skills required

The current membership of the youth club is between 9 and 14, so any volunteers would need to be happy working with this age group, and both boys and girls. We can’t stress enough how much we need happy smiley people  – so please at least strain a smile! Your skill base really can be anything. You might be only any good at lifting a kettle or some chairs. Fine. Perhaps you like to push a broom. Great. Maybe you want to run games and activities, even better. We all have skills and no doubt can put yours to good use.

The Youth Club will undertake a DBS check unless you are already registered on the DBS renewal service and can be easily checked.

At present the Youth Club are unable to cover expenses for this role, unless it is agreed in advance that you are making a purchase for the Club.
