What is the role: Home-Start Oxford requires volunteers to support families with young children. Home-Start works with families across in the City, Central Oxfordshire and West Oxfordshire including Witney, Carterton and Burford.
What does the role involve: You will support families in their homes for 2 – 4 hours per week who have at least one child aged 0 – 5. The aim of Home-Start is to support families who are finding things hard for a variety of reasons. You will help to build parenting skills and confidence and reduce social isolation. You will receive full training and ongoing support and supervision. The next training course starts in September so now is an ideal time to apply.

Home-Start is looking for volunteers who are a parent or grandparent or who have caring experience. The qualities they look for in volunteers are individuals who are empathetic, non-judgemental, good listeners, friendly, kind, practical, creative and who enjoy spending time with children.
Due to the nature of this role Home-Start Oxford will take out a DBS Safeguarding check.
