Who is the role for: Charlbury Scout Group

When does the volunteering take place: Thursday’s, 5 – 6:15 pm during term time

What the role involves: Helping to run and lead activities for a group of Beaver Scouts aged 6 – 8 years. Children work towards challenge badges and take part in interest badges. Helping children learn about the world, nature and the environment, the outdoor and being part of a team.

Why you should sign up: If you enjoy sharing your skills with children, interacting, taking part and helping children get the most of various different activities, then this could be the role for you. Each week is varied with craft activities, hiking, games, cooking and lots more. We have A LOT of fun!

Requirements for this role: Really it’s just a desire to have fun and a willingness to join in and try things out in a relaxed environment. You will need to provide references and we will need a DBS check, but you can come along and try out volunteering first.

Expenses will be paid to cover resources you buy for the club and mileage to activities. Your own children are provided with a free space at the club. 

You will be provided with training and there are lots of opportunities to do further courses online, 1:1 and in small groups if you feel these are relevant.
