What is the role: Volunteer at Cowley Road Carnival
Who is the role for: Cowley Road Carnival
When does the volunteering take place: Sunday 2nd July. We ask you to commit to a minimum of 2 – 3 hours depending on the role.
Where does the volunteering take place: Cowley Road
What the role involves: We need enthusiastic and committed volunteers to help make Cowley Road Carnival happen. Volunteers take on many different roles: helping with setting up and packing down, answering visitors’ questions, collecting donations, as procession stewards, and helping our zone managers.
Why you should sign up: Cowley Road Carnival is an amazing day, bringing together over 50,000 people. As well as the Carnival procession, there’s music, street entertainment and fantastic food. Carnival brings people together and helps build a vibrant, active community round Cowley Road all year long. As a volunteer, you’re part of an enthusiastic creative team and get to enjoy seeing all the smiling faces, knowing you are an essential part of making it happen.
Skills required for this role: You need to be reliable, enthusiastic and willing to do what needs to be done. For some roles you need to be happy to be on your feet for some time, or be happy to talk to people and answer their questions. We give you information about all the different roles and the times people are needed for so you can say what you would be happy to do and for how long. Tell us if you have any particular needs so we can do our best to find you a role you would enjoy doing.
