Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust (WeSET) is a local charity, funded by the cooperatives who run some of UK’s first and largest community-owned wind and solar electricity generation sites, at Westmill Farm near Swindon. We are dedicated to increasing understanding and acceptance of renewable energy through public visits to Westmill Wind & Solar Farm, near Watchfield.

WeSET is fortunate to be closely connected with great talent, enthusiasm and foresight at a unique site generating clean, green energy from both sun and wind. The site has great natural beauty and biodiversity including hares, skylarks, orchids etc, and the surrounding farm is run on organic principles.

Skills required: We are looking for volunteer guides to take school and other educational groups round the site once or twice a month. No knowledge of renewables is needed; just enthusiasm. Training will be provided.

References and a DBS check are not required for this role. Expenses are not normally paid but this can be reviewed on a case by case basis.
