Who is the role for: Abingdon Music Festival
When and where does the volunteering take place: There are regular committee meetings that take places throughout the year and are held at committee members houses or other local venues, convenient to the trustees.
What the role involves: The key responsibilities of this role are to keep the Festival web site up to date, advising on all computing matters, helping with online entry system (being used this year for the first time), helping to compile and run a data base of performers, interested persons (parents etc) and friends of the Festival.
Why you should sign up: Volunteers who are interested in local music (mainly Abingdon based but also reaching out into the wider Oxford area), and keen to provide performance opportunities for young people in a supportive atmosphere, will find the special style of the Abingdon Music festival very rewarding. All performers are offered a mini master class straight after their performance which is greatly appreciated by performers and parents alike. As one adjudicator has put it…’A festival with a difference…not a competition but a workshop’ More testimonials can be found on the web site http://www.abmusfest.org.uk
