What is the role: Events Manager
Who is the role for: Global China Research Foundation
When and where does the volunteering take place: This role is based in Oxford with an immediate start until November 5th 2017.
What the roles involves: The events manager will assist the Foundation’s Executive Director in managing GCRF’s UK-based events, most notably the Global China Research Conference to be held in November.
Why you should sign up: This is a great opportunity to get valuable event management skills and international experience. GCRF is a global organisation with ties and operations in North America and East Asia. Volunteers will be trained in event management skills and receive excellent networking opportunities. In addition, they will be exposed to significant knowledge about China’s role and impact in the world, gaining Asia capacity, which is very valuable to future professional pursuits.
Skills required: Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite will be valuable for this role as well as an ability to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds. You do not need past experience.
You will receive training in event management, fundraising and marketing.
Out of city travel expenses will be reimbursed as will the cost of printing and purchasing event supplies.
