Who is the role for: OurBus Bartons

When does the volunteering take place: At times to suit you. Our scheduled routes cover weekday mornings and evenings and hire/excursions at the weekends. Each weekday is divided into four shifts.

Where does the volunteering take place: Our routes are mainly short local journeys with weekly runs to Chipping Norton and Kidlington. All of our routes start and finish in Middle Barton. 12 miles South of Banbury, 15 miles Northeast of Witney and 9 Miles East of Chipping Norton

What is involved: Driving a 14 seater minibus, completing pre-journey safety checks, using the ticket machine and completing some paperwork after each journey.

You will receive Nationally recognised minibus safety training, a DBS check and a comprehensive induction to our vehicle and routes. We are a new organisation, join our friendly team of volunteers and get to know our passengers!

Skills required for this role: You just need to be over 25 and have a full-driving license. Our bus is an automatic and easy to drive and you will be fully covered by our insurance.

Your expenses will be covered for you to get from your home to our depot at 45ppm by car, 25ppm by motorbike and 20ppm for a bike. We aim to provide a nationally recognised minibus safety training within six months of you starting volunteering.
