What is involved: This role will provide you with a range of admin experience. As a telephone helper you will answer telephone calls to our helpline, log calls, take referrals, complete referral forms either by hand or on a pc, and help with photocopying and filing. You will also take queries from clients and volunteer counsellors and forward telephone messages.
Because of the nature of our work the ideal person for this role will be warm and empathic and able to sit with strong emotions, client’s in distress and difficult situations on the phone.

Skills required for this role: This role requires empathy and kindness and a non-judgemental attitude. Clear spoken English and either clear written English or the ability to use a computer to fill in a form online.
Due to the nature of this role a DBS check and character references are required. Travel expenses will be paid.
