Good organiser needed to co-ordinate twice monthly Stroke Club

What is the role: Co-ordinator for Abingdon Stroke Club

Who for: Abingdon Stroke Club

When: The Stroke Club hold meetings twice a month normally on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 2pm which you would run, plus the time taken to prepare for these meetings

Where: Trinity Church Hall, Abingdon

What is involved: 

  • You will be the central point of contact for the club so that members and potential new members can contact you with questions and enquiries
  • Organise club events and run the twice monthly club sessions
  • Three times a year produce a newsletter for members

Why you should sign up: This club addresses a real need for stroke survivors helping provide a social group that offers mutual support, whilst also raising awareness of stroke and stroke risks.

Skills required: This role is ideal for someone who likes organising and planning – perfect skills to help organise the club meetings.  

No references are required for this role. As you will be working with vulnerable people a DBS check will be required.
