Looking for teaching experience? Care about the environment? Why not volunteer as a tour guide on a Wind and Solar Farm

What is the role: Wind and Solar Farm Education Tour Guide

Who for: Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust

When: Guided tours of the site mainly take place during the working day 10:00am-2.30pm Monday to Friday.  Occasionally they are in the early evening or at the weekend, but guides can make themselves available for which ever tours suit their availability.

What is involved: We are looking for volunteer guides to take school and other educational groups around the renewable energy site, once or twice a month.  No knowledge of renewables is needed just enthusiasm and an enjoyment of talking to people, particularly children. Why you should sign up: Here is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is concerned about climate change to increase understanding and acceptance of renewable energy and promote positive solutions.

Skills required: An ability to speak engagingly to groups of up to 15 people, including groups of children.

Support provided: Full training is provided. Expenses are paid for travel at a cost of 45p / mile.

References are not required for this role and neither is a DBS check as you will never be left on your own with children.
