At Sue Ryder, we provide incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis. It’s not just expert medical care we provide. It’s the emotional support and practical things we take care of too. We do whatever we can to be a safety net for our patients and their loved ones at the most difficult time of their lives. To continue providing incredible care, we rely heavily on retail volunteers to help us bring in the income required to ensure beds are provided and our 7 hospices and 5 neurological centres remain open.
Our shop in Henley-on-Thames is one of the 450+ shops nationally. The income generated at the shop helps the Nettlebed Hospice which covers the communities in that area.
Currently we are looking for some incredible volunteers who can spare a few hours with our lovely team at theHenley shop on Duke Street.
We are holding a Volunteer Recruitment Day next Thursday 11th August 2016 from 10am till 3pm. This is a great opportunity for potentials to come and have a chat with us about Sue Ryder and the various volunteering opportunities on offer. They can also book themselves in for a taster session.
We aim to get as many people signed up for taster sessions on the day. Therefore, any help you could provide in spreading the opportunities and creating awareness of this event, would be highly appreciated.
There will also be some nibbles, tombola and lots of bargains in store!
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Please see attached: Henley Vol Recruitment Event
Many thanks. Fazz
